SAFEPRAC is a consulting firm that focuses on health and safety, occupational hygiene, environmental management, and project management services. Our team of experts collectively possesses thirty-three (33) years of experience in various fields. The company holds a level 1 BBBEE status, indicating a high level of empowerment in terms of ownership and management, with full ownership by the youth.

We have operations in various regions across South Africa, with six branches, and our head office is located in Garsfontein, Gauteng, South Africa.
Professional Registrations
Construction Regulations 5(5) and 5(6) requires clients to appoint construction health and safety agents to act on their behalf and manage the health and safety on a construction project. Furthermore more, the client health and safety agent referred to above must be registered with a statutory body (SACPCMP) approved by the Chief Inspector as qualified to perform the required functions.
The founder and Managing Director (Mongezi Kubukeli) is a registered Professional Construction Health and Safety Agent (Pr.CHSA) under the South African Council for the Project & Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) as required by the regulations. Furthermore, all our supporting H&S consultants under the auspices of the Managing Director are registered construction health and safety managers (CHSM’s) under SACPCMP.

Mongezi Kubukeli is the founder and managing director of SAFEPRAC.
External Roles
He also serves as a director of the Association of Construction Health and Safety Management (ACHASM).
Qualifications
Mongezi holds a Diploma in Safety Management, a National Diploma in Civil Engineering, an Advanced Diploma in Project Management, and a Higher Certificate in Business Management. These are complemented by extensive certification programmes in construction health and safety, occupational hygiene, and environmental management.

Professional Experience
With over 15 years of experience, Mongezi has worked across occupational safety, health, hygiene, environmental, and project management disciplines. He has successfully managed complex projects in renewable energy (wind and solar), civil, and building construction across all project stages (1-6). His leadership has guided cross-functional teams of consultants, clients, developers, and designers to achieve project success while effectively balancing competing constraints.
